Green Door Vets has been designed to feel calm, practical and welcoming from the moment you arrive.
We are an independent, family-run veterinary practice in Froxfield, built around a simple idea: excellent care, fair prices and traditional values. Our clinic combines modern veterinary equipment with a relaxed, personal approach, so you and your pet can feel looked after from reception through to consultation, treatment and recovery.
From spacious consulting rooms to diagnostic imaging, surgery and in-house testing, our practice has been created to support clear decisions and joined-up care. You will find a warm welcome, time to talk things through, and a team that treats every pet as if they were their own.
A calm welcome
Your visit starts at our reception area, where our team is here to help with appointments, questions, repeat medication requests and general advice.
We know a trip to the vet can be stressful for pets and owners, so we have kept the practice calm, clean and uncluttered. The space is designed to feel more personal than clinical, with natural colours, warm wood finishes and familiar faces.
Whether you are visiting for a routine health check, vaccination, nurse clinic or a more complex concern, we want the first few minutes of your visit to feel organised, friendly and reassuring.
Comfortable consulting rooms
Our consulting rooms are spacious, bright and practical, with a relaxed feel to help pets settle. We allow proper time for questions, discussion and examination, so you do not feel rushed.
The rooms are set up for everyday veterinary care, including health checks, vaccinations, repeat consultations, nurse appointments and follow-up care. They are also designed to support gentle handling and clear conversations, so you understand what we are seeing, what we recommend and what your options are.
Because we are a small team, you should usually see the same familiar faces when you visit. That continuity helps us get to know your pet properly over time.
Diagnostics on site
When your pet is unwell, fast and clear information matters.
Our practice includes diagnostic facilities on site, including ultrasound, X-ray and laboratory testing. This helps us investigate problems more efficiently and discuss results with you as part of a joined-up treatment plan.
Ultrasound allows us to look inside the chest and abdomen in a non-invasive way. X-ray helps us assess bones, joints, the chest, abdomen and other areas where imaging is needed. Our in-house laboratory allows us to run many blood tests quickly, which can be especially useful when a pet is poorly or when we need to assess their health before a procedure.
Surgery and treatment facilities
Green Door Vets includes a surgical unit with preparation and operating facilities, modern anaesthetic equipment and patient monitoring.
We carry out routine and more complex procedures on site, with careful planning before, during and after surgery. Our approach is to keep you informed, explain the options clearly, and make sure your pet receives attentive care throughout their stay with us.
Where appropriate, we also use diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing to support safer decision-making before procedures.
Dentistry and preventative care
Dental health is an important part of your pet’s overall wellbeing. Our practice includes dental facilities, including dental X-ray, so we can assess more than just the visible surface of the teeth.
We also support preventative healthcare through vaccinations, parasite control, nurse clinics, weight checks, nail clips, microchipping and ongoing health advice.
Our aim is not just to treat illness, but to help pets stay comfortable, healthy and active for as long as possible.
